The repo men have taken away the thing that Rotom treasures above anything else, his TV! Of course, Rotom will stop at nothing to get it back... ============================================== About Rotom ---------------------------------------------- Rotom is a cute little Pokémon that can take over and control electronic devices to cause as much mischief as possible; however, he can use them to devastating effect in battle when he fights seriously. ============================================== General ---------------------------------------------- Rotom can... Walk forwards and backwards Jump twice (standard jump and one midair jump) Attack (LOL) Crouch Attack from crouching and in midair Activate SIX Hyper attacks (not at the same time, so don't get the wrong idea). ============================================== Key ------ D = Down F = Right B = Left U = Up DF = Down-right DB = Down-left UF = Up-right UB = Up-left a/b/c = Kick x/y/z = Punch s = Taunt Basic attacks ---------------------------------------------- Because the little guy needs to get his TV back, he's going to need to fight off those meany bad guys (and good guys?) who challenge him. ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Plasma Lance - a Like all basic attacks, Rotom changes his Plasma into different Weapons, the lance is Rotom's uttermost basic attack; best used for a quick succesion of weak attacks (what you would call 'spamming'). ---------------------------------------------- Plasma Hammer - b Rotom unleashes his hammer on the target, it is stronger than the lance, but there's the small concern that Rotom may chase you while using it. ---------------------------------------------- Plasma Wrecker - c Rotom turns his Plasma into wrecking ball and spins on the spot, flinging any opponent unlucky (or stupid) enough far away from him. Lucky for Rotom, it doesn't wreck his lovely Plasma in any way, shape, or form. ---------------------------------------------- Crouching Plasma Lance - a (crouching) You must know how to make Rotom crouch, so we will just skip to the fact that this is the same as the the standard plasma lance. ---------------------------------------------- Roto-PAWNCH - b (crouching) Rotom changes his Plasma into a comical spring-loaded boxing glove and thwacks the foe with force, dealing good damage and sending the foe flying and knocking them over. ---------------------------------------------- Roto-Spin - c (crouching) While crounching, Rotom spins while using his plasma as a sharp blade of some sorts, has some cooldown due the damage it deals through successive combos. ---------------------------------------------- Roto-Shuriken - a (midair) Rotom Transforms into a spinning Shuriken (that's a ninja star for all those unenlightened to the ways of the ninja) and falls onto the foe; weak, but useful for knocking back anyone who dares invade Rotom's personal space. ---------------------------------------------- Air-Hammer - b (midair) Rotom rolls up into a ball, whips out his trusty ol' hammer and spins, considerably hurting anyone unfortunate enough to be next to him. ---------------------------------------------- Spark - c (midair) Rotom briefly discharges a small amount of electricity which can deal a reasonable amount of combo damage to the unfortunate enemy currently being electrocuted. ---------------------------------------------- Roto-Drill - D+a (midair) This attack involves Rotom 'drilling' into the foe, dealing greater combos (and therefore damage) against foes with larger hitboxes, and works quite well when the foe is in midair. ---------------------------------------------- Rolling Shuriken - F, F Like the airbourne version of this attack but Rotom rolls along the ground instead; this attack is weak but doubles as an evasive measure; knocks foes over. ---------------------------------------------- Backwards Rolling Shuriken - B, B Really? ---------------------------------------------- Taunt - s Useful for absolutely nothing. ---------------------------------------------- The Other Taunt - s (crouching) Rotom grows big and screams, this move does no damage but it does knock the foe over. Even if Rotom gets hit while using this attack, the scream echoes, causing the screen to continue shaking and your opponent to continue being earraped. For maximum effect, turn your volume up to max!!!* *Rotom is not responsible if you do actually attempt this. ============================================== Special Attacks ---------------------------------------------- Rotom also comes equipped with some powerful ranged attacks as well, before you go on a whining spree. ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Will-O-Wisp - D, DF, F, a Rotom launches 4 violet flames onto the ground as a stage hazard. They disappear after a short time, so there's no need to cry. In order to prevent 'spamming', once activated, you cannot activate it again until all 4 of the flames have disappeared. ---------------------------------------------- Shadow Ball - D, DF, F, b A very powerful attack, but slow to launch and has a small bit of cooldown. Works in the air, but instead fires three smaller Shadow Balls in a cone-shaped fashion. ---------------------------------------------- Electro Ball - D, DF, F, c Rotom fires a ball of electricity at the foe, that goes through the opponent; thus slightly piercing the shield. Despite this being a ranged attack, the acceleration rate means it will accumulate more combos for foes at closer range. Small cooldown. Works in the air, too. ---------------------------------------------- Charge Beam - D, DF, F, a (midair) Rotom sends an enlarging electrical beam towards the foe; this attack hits everything directly in front of Rotom at peak length. Doesn't raise Rotom's attack power, soz :P ============================================== Hyper Attacks ---------------------------------------------- OH YEAH! ---------------------------------------------- These are Rotom's area of effect hypers, they circle Rotom and act as a defensive barrier while causing damage. They require a single bar of the power meter to activate. ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Discharge - D, DF, F, D, DF, F, a Rotom lets loose a mass of electricity for an electrocutingly powerful attack; hits multiple times and sends the foe flying afterwards, but doesn't last for very long. ---------------------------------------------- Overheat - D, DF, F, D, DF, F, b Rotom transforms into heat forme and expels a significant amount of fire; deals more overall damage than Discharge, but takes longer to activate. ---------------------------------------------- Hurricane - D, DF, F, D, DF, F, c Rotom transforms into fan forme and...hang on, doesn't fan forme Rotom use Air Slash, not Hurricane? Yes, but silly old Game Freak missed out on giving fan forme a useful move! Rotom whips up four hurricanes which spin around him a few times, and then disperse both left and right. Unblockable, BTW :3 ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- These are Rotom's ranged hypers, they are making sure the foe knows that Rotom means quite serious business. They require 2 bars of the power meter to activate. ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Leaf Storm - D, DF, F, DF, D, DB, B, a Rotom transforms into mow forme and billows out a mass of leaves that auto-target foes. Other than the foes being sliced by the leaves, the groundskeeper would most likely also be a bit peeved, after already sweeping them up not long before. ---------------------------------------------- Hydro Pump - D, DF, F, DF, D, DB, B, b Rotom transforms into wash forme and unloads the full force of Hydro Pump onto any foe unlucky enough to stand in the way; the knockback power of this attack is similar to the real life police weapon known as water cannon (not a grammar mistake), meaning the foe and Rotom will be pushed to the edges of the stage (on condition of a hit). This attack has trouble hitting airbourne foes as the attack hits low to the ground, but it can slightly pierce sheilds. --------------------------------------------- Blizzard - D, DF, F, DF, D, DB, B, c Rotom Transforms into frost forme and unveils a barrage of freezing ice and snow from his freezer compartment; fortunately, there are no rotting pieces of meat or gone off milk in there so at least the foe can still smell nice while being frozen to a...foesicle? This attack cones outwards so it is better at hitting airbourne foes and also has some nice combo potential, but damage varies depending on the size of the character (providing the hitboxes are correct). ============================================== Combos --------------------------------------------- a > b > c Find the rest out yourself ;P ============================================ Created with minor assistance (a few attack ideas) from DoomBowser, who wrote the original version of this ReadMe File, because he thought he could make it humourous.
